The Fire Giant is a required late-game encounter in the Mountaintops. The arena is large, the boss covers a lot of space, and the fight rewards patient positioning more than constant aggression.
Preparation checklist
- Bring enough healing for a long attempt.
- Use a weapon or spell setup with reliable damage uptime.
- Keep enough Vigor to survive mistakes.
- Be comfortable switching between close positioning and long repositioning.
Camera and positioning
Large bosses can make camera control difficult. Stay aware of your own position first, and avoid locking yourself into terrain or a poor viewing angle just to squeeze in one more attack.
Movement strategy
Use Torrent where it helps with repositioning, then return to a controlled attack rhythm instead of treating the whole encounter like a race. Long movement phases are easier when you plan for them rather than chase constantly.
Build adjustment
If the fight is taking too long, check weapon upgrade level, damage uptime and stamina use before simply adding more offensive stats. If you are dying quickly, survivability is the more urgent problem.
