Terraria crafting combines materials into new items, often at a specific crafting station. The system is tightly connected to progression because new materials, stations and recipes become available as the world advances.
Start with the crafting station
When a recipe is not appearing, first check whether you are standing near the correct station. Having the right materials is not always enough if the required crafting environment is missing.
Materials and progression
Many important materials come from specific biomes, enemies, bosses or world states. That means a recipe can be technically known but still unavailable until the related progression step is complete.
Upgrade chains
Some useful items are built through several crafting steps rather than one recipe. Tracking the chain from base materials to the final item is more useful than treating each recipe as an isolated page.
When to use the item database
Use the Items and Accessories sections when you know the category of item you want. Use the progression pages when the real problem is that a required material or station has not been unlocked yet.
